A federal appeals court has stopped Christa Pike’s execution an hour before she was set to die by lethal injection. Pike, now 50, is on death row for the 1995 murder of 19-year-old Colleen Slemmer. She would have been the first woman executed in Tennessee in more than 200 years. #ChristaPike
