The population continued to climb: 1,068,000 in 2002, 1,108,000 in 2003, 1,149,000 in 2004, 1,191,000 in 2005, 1,216,575 in 2006, 1,245,000 in 2007, 1,274,000 in 2008, and 1,304,000 in 2009.
