Prediction markets are being marketed as a sophisticated tool for interpreting reality. The argument goes that you aren't gambling,you're 'pricing information.' That's the sales pitch. However, when you can place bets on politics, sports, war, inflation, celebrity gossip, and whatever Trump might say next, the boundary between informed speculation and pure gambling starts to blur.
