TheOdyssey just became the second fastest R-rated film to hit $200M at the US box office, doing it in 8 days. That's a day faster than Deadpool, which opened $9M higher but took 9 days. If it keeps this pace, it could cross $300M by day 11, just three days after Deadpool & Wolverine, despite starting $91M behind. And if it hits $400M by day 19, it'd be only the second R-rated movie to do that, matching Beauty and the Beast and trailing The Dark Knight and Top Gun: Maverick by a day. All those films eventually crossed $500M too. This run is wild.
