Nikki Storm Abby the Witch Bray Wyatt tribute

Nikki Storm (Nikki Cross) opens up about the delicate balance of honoring Bray Wyatt while putting her own unique spin on the Abby the Witch character within the Wyatt Sicks. She acknowledges that Abby was originally Bray’s creation, meaning the image was already firmly planted in the minds of the WWE audience. For Nikki, this presented a specific creative challenge: how to pay proper homage to Bray’s brainchild and make his family proud, while simultaneously making the role her own. To achieve this, she crafted a new backstory for Abby, envisioning her as a little girl from Glasgow, Scotland, who struggled to fit in with others. Nikki then merged those narrative elements with traits she had previously explored during her time as the SAnitY version of Nikki Cross. This fusion allowed her to respect both Bray Wyatt and the Wyatt Sicks group while injecting her personal twist, a approach she believes is exactly what Bray and his loved ones would have wanted for her portrayal. The connection became deeply personal, with Nikki describing herself as highly protective of Abby. She carries the character's mask everywhere, whether she is valeting at live events or appearing on television broadcasts. The mask evolved into far more than a simple prop for her; it became a genuine source of comfort. Nikki admits she would often hold it and pretend she was stroking her Chihuahua, finding solace in the object. She states that this specific goal of respectful innovation was enough to get her through any difficulty. Ultimately, her driving force remains a desire to pay the utmost respect to every character she is given.
