The standoff between Memphis Depay and Corinthians reached a point where continuing was impossible. The Dutchman’s renewal requests were off the charts in their audacity. He asked for €12 MILLION as his salary across the next two seasons. On top of that, he wanted €43,000 MONTHLY strictly to cover his housing rent. The demands extended to facilities, including a private box at the Neo Química Arena. He also insisted on using the stadium for two days to host his own events.
