Football is also solidarity. Walmer Pacheco was born in Barranquilla and serves as the captain of Deportivo Pereira. When he learned about the tragedy caused by an earthquake, he did not stand idly by. He organized a collection point in his city to gather aid. Pacheco then loaded his own car with food supplies and traveled to Pereira. Upon arrival, he put on gloves and immersed himself in rescue operations. He helped remove debris in the search for trapped people. He could have stayed at home, but he chose to be with those affected and help his compatriots. Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear the captain's armband.
