Eighteen months of governance under AFC-M23 has triggered a visible shift in Goma, the provincial capital of North Kivu. Kaheembe stands out as a quarter that has transformed into an ultra-modern space, driven by residents on Rutshuru, Butembo, and Kihera Avenues who are actively reshaping their surroundings. Paving projects are moving forward thanks to neighbor contributions paired with municipal support, targeting unblocked roads, better mobility, and a fresh look for the area. Mayor Désiré Ngabo Kisuba stopped by to watch Moderne Construction execute the work using local labor. In the KMB quarters, inspections covered paving on Uchuru, Boutembo, and Kiira Avenues where resident funding and city backing drive road improvements, tree planting, and streetlight installation handled by Moderne et Construction with local crews. An engineer from the company outlined the project stages while the KMB quarter chief highlighted resident involvement and urged solidarity to finish paving the whole neighborhood. This joint effort uniting the population, the municipality, and technical partners under AF5-1-23 aims to enhance urban mobility and living conditions.
