Houthi military briefing on drone strike

Is the Red Sea turning into the next Strait of Hormuz? That question is rising as the fighting zone in Yemen pushes closer to the water. Houthi-led Yemeni Armed Forces state they shot down a Saudi-affiliated Wing Loong II drone today, allegedly during hostile missions this morning over the Maqbanah area in northwestern Taiz Governorate. A port for the Red Sea sits right in that same Maqbanah area. Saudi Arabia is actively engaged in conflict against the Houthis, which acts as a regional proxy for Iran. Meanwhile, Houthi rebels are seizing strategic territory from the internationally recognized Yemeni government in coastal areas. Source: army21ye (TG), BBC / Writer: Marie
