PG-13 horror InsidiousOutoftheFurther is indeed having a happy holiday boost at US BoxOffice. Insidious6 grossed 6.5M on 3rd 3-day weekend, a -36.1% drop from last weekend (vs Insidious5’s 6.6M, -49%). Despite performing below the previous instalment, the franchise remains lucrative, hitting a 54.1M cume in the U.S. alone, over a 18M production price tag. Audiences might not enjoy it as before, but as long as the franchise remains a money maker, oh boy they will keep making more of it. Eyeing a 65M-70M run in the U.S.
