Indian workers record jobs for robot training

Robots need to learn complex physical work, and the training footage is coming straight from people on the job. In India, workers are strapping head-mounted cameras on while they do real tasks, capturing egocentric, first-person video the whole time. What gets picked up: how hands move, how objects get handled, how the body shifts, and the order tasks happen in. That footage can become training datasets for robotics companies. From there, firms use it for imitation learning and embodied AI, teaching machines to pull off physical tasks the way humans do. Source: Al Jazeera, Bloomberg.
