IF I GO WILL THEY MISS ME film release

The feature film IF I GO WILL THEY MISS ME starring Danielle Brooks and J. Alphonse Nicholson kicks off screenings in Los Angeles today before hitting a nationwide release on September 18. This project took shape during a tight 22-day production window right here in the Watts neighborhood of Los Angeles. Director Walter Thompson-Hernández expanded his own 2022 short film of the same name, which previously secured the Short Film Jury Award for U.S. Fiction at Sundance. The story tracks a young boy trying to manage his bond with his dad after incarceration while weaving Greek mythology into the framework.
