So behind me is a customer's car. He just bought it from corporate and he's got a bearing knock. So he saw my Golf 7 R video and he was like, ah, if he can fix his one, cheap like that, maybe I can also do something similar. So I got this Golf 7 GTI. I think my customer got it for about 90 to 100,000 Rand, which is quite fair. Looking at that, this is a performance pack Golf 7 GTI. And we are going to be stripping his engine that has got a very bad bearing knock, which actually sounds like this. we've got some exhaust smoke coming from here which means we could have a hole on the exhaust of this vehicle without any further ado let's get this engine out let's get this engine stripped and you can be the ultimate decider to see if it was worth it buying this car from an auction or was it worth it to just get it from a dealership floor and get nasty surprises so let's get this car done So now the engine is about to come out So our turbo as you can see is cooked It was pushing oil through the boost pipes. And here we have our flywheel, and we have our starter, and then alternator, and then here we have our engine mounting, top timing cover, and the PCP valve. After we stripped the engine, we found out that the crankshaft is damaged here on the big end bearings. Also, the conroy needs to be replaced, due to if you put another bearing here, it's not going to be able to hold. The camshaft is damaged here on the vannels. Also, the guys who are working on the car previously, they forced the camshaft adjuster valve inside. one-horse must move like this, must just have a slightly play but not on a movement like this. So now the new engine is inside the car, about to start the car for the first time. you
