France agreed to double and triple drug prices despite earlier beliefs that such a move was impossible. The agreement came only after a specific condition was set: refuse the price hike or face tariffs on all goods entering the United States. They're paying far more. A very big thing, though, was the countries. Everybody said it would be impossible for France to agree to double and triple their drug prices. But they agreed to do it. And they agreed to do it because I said, if you don't do it, I'm going to put tariffs on everything coming into the United States. And that is far bigger dollar-wise than the money we're talking about.
