    Acerca de

Fußball-Club Bayern München e. V., commonly known as Bayern Munich, is a German professional sports club based in Munich, Bavaria. The club is best known for its men's football team, which competes in the Bundesliga, the top tier of German football. Bayern is the most successful club in German football history, having won a record 35 national titles, including 11 consecutive Bundesliga titles from 2013 to 2023, and a record 20 DFB-Pokal cups. Internationally, they have won six UEFA Champions League titles, a German record, and are one of only five clubs to have earned the right to keep the European Cup trophy permanently.

Founded on February 27, 1900, at Café Gisela in Munich, the club was formed by 11 members who left MTV 1879 Munich after a vote against joining the German Football Association. Led by Franz John, the group adopted red and white as club colors in 1906. Bayern won its first national championship in 1932 but was not selected for the Bundesliga when it launched in 1963. The club's golden era began in the 1970s under Franz Beckenbauer, winning three consecutive European Cups (1974–1976). Since 2005, Bayern has played at the Allianz Arena, having previously used the Olympic Stadium for 33 years.

Bayern is one of the most widely supported clubs globally, with over 432,500 official members as of November 2025, making it the largest sports club by membership worldwide. The club also fields teams in chess, handball, basketball, and other sports. In the 2024–25 season, Bayern set a revenue record of €978.3 million. Under current head coach Vincent Kompany, the team won the Bundesliga in 2024–25. Key players include Thomas Müller, Manuel Neuer, Alphonso Davies, and Harry Kane.

    Historia

Bayern Munich was founded on February 27, 1900, by 11 players at Café Gisela in Munich, led by Franz John. The club's first national championship came in 1932. However, when the Bundesliga formed in 1963, Bayern was not selected, a setback that spurred the club to invest in youth and infrastructure. The breakthrough came in the late 1960s with a DFB-Pokal win in 1966 and a European Cup Winners' Cup in 1967, the club's first European trophy.

The 1970s marked Bayern's first golden era. Under the captaincy of Franz Beckenbauer and with Gerd Müller scoring prolifically, the club won three consecutive European Cups (1974, 1975, 1976). Domestically, they won multiple Bundesliga titles, including three in a row from 1972 to 1974. After a period of relative decline in the 1980s, Bayern re-emerged as a European powerhouse in the 1990s, winning the UEFA Cup in 1996 and the Champions League in 2001, defeating Valencia on penalties in Milan.

The 21st century has been defined by unprecedented domestic dominance. From 2013 to 2023, Bayern won 11 consecutive Bundesliga titles. Under Jupp Heynckes in 2013, they achieved the treble (Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, Champions League), defeating Borussia Dortmund 2–1 in the final at Wembley. Hansi Flick repeated the treble in 2020, adding a sextuple by winning all six possible trophies in a calendar year, including the Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup. Recent seasons have seen changes in management, with Vincent Kompany taking over in 2024 and winning the Bundesliga in 2024–25, securing the title with a match to spare.
