Boruto
"Naruto Next Generations"
Mikio Ikemoto
Resumen
Four years after the Fourth Shinobi World War, Boruto Uzumaki stands in the shadow of his father, Naruto, who serves as the Seventh Hokage. Unlike previous generations that sought recognition through rebellion, Boruto initially tries to outshine his dad before learning to respect the legacy he carries. The narrative shifts focus from simple ninja training to a world where ancient traditions clash with rapid technological advancement and scientific ninja tools.
The story expands beyond the village walls as Boruto and his friends encounter the Otsutsuki clan, an extraterrestrial threat that has haunted the world for millennia. Key arcs involve the betrayal of Kawaki, a boy adopted by the Hokage who possesses a mysterious code, and the tragic sacrifice of Boruto's mentor, Sasuke Uchiha. In April 2023, the first part concluded with a significant time skip leading into Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.
This darker arc depicts a future where Boruto is falsely accused of attempting to assassinate his parents. Forced into hiding, he wields the power of the Karma mark while operating from the shadows to protect the village he was once accused of destroying. The series explores themes of sacrifice, the corruption of power, and complex father-son dynamics across generations.
