Donald Tusk holds a unique place in Polish and European politics. He is the longest-serving prime minister of the Third Polish Republic and the first Polish politician to hold the top job at the European Council. His Charlemagne Prize in 2015 recognized his role in steering Europe through multiple crises. Tusk has also received Poland's highest honor, the Order of the White Eagle, in 2025. With seven honorary doctorates and numerous state decorations from across Europe, his accolades reflect decades of service at the highest levels of government.
