Atsushi Ōkubo
Resumen
Spontaneous Human Combustion turns ordinary citizens into Infernals, monsters wreathed in green flames that hunt human life. Shinra Kusakabe joins Special Fire Force Company 8 after discovering he can ignite his feet to run at rocket speeds. The Imperial Capital Fire Department deploys these specialized units to exorcise the creatures while uncovering a deep conspiracy surrounding the phenomenon.
Atsushi Ōkubo serialized the manga in Weekly Shonen Magazine from September 15, 2015, through February 2022. The story blends supernatural horror with dark fantasy and action sequences featuring pyrokinetic combat. It functions as a prequel to Soul Eater, revealing shared universe lore and character origins as the plot advances toward its conclusion.
