This trailer is genuinely stunning
There’s a 35mm scan of the ALIENS (1986) trailer floating around, and it really is a gorgeous little piece of film history. The 20th Century Fox logo alone hits different in that format, stylized cityscape, searchlights cutting through a dark blue starry sky, that golden text. Seeing it on actual 35mm brings something you just don’t get otherwise.
